Danie Anne Tregonning grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Born into the television industry, she spent a lot of her time running around her parents audio rental and sales business during school holidays.

 

Danie also grew up with a love of the arts, primarily fine arts and dramatic arts. She was actively involved in school plays (either acting or directing) right throughout high school, but due to timetable conflicts during VCE, she made the choice to drop acting and stick with fine art. She went on to acquire a Diploma of Visual Art (Painting), a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary).

 

During her long years of study, Danie worked in retail and was often called upon to do instore PA announcements and spruiking during sale periods. She also did a crash course in community radio, helping out her father during the Metung Regatta weekend in the summer of 1998.

 

In 2015, her partner Mark Perkins, encouraged her to join him in learning about voice over with legend Gary Mac. Neither of them have looked back since.
